Motivation from Metro Police

Two of us headed off to Menlyn to watch a movie with some friends. During the trip to Menlyn we had a very big argument and ended up spending quite some time in the car at the parking lot trying to solve this issue we had. Frustrated we headed off to the movie and finished watching it. Afterward we grabbed a take away pizza, headed back to the car with the pizza and decided to pray for the situation, since talking wasn’t getting us anywhere. As we prayed, the frustration immediately lifted and things were looking much better.

On the way home with the pizza, we decided to eat the pizza next to the highway (just to be different). So we sat down next to the highway and started eating the pizza. We were chatting about what if someone stops because they think our car broke down and we joked saying that then it would be God’s way of sending someone to us so that we can chat to them about God. Next moment the Metro Police stop right behind us and find us sitting next to the highway so late at night (about 22h30) which to them was very suspicious. After these 2 policemen were happy that our car is not stolen and that we are “really” just here to eat pizza, we started chatting to them about God. We had an amazing chat that lasted almost an hour and were invited to a wedding of the one policeman and invited to share our testimony at a local church by the other policemen.

It really motivated us how God helped us overcome the big fight we had when we prayed and then not long after sends 2 men to us where we could all share our testimonies with each other. God is awesome!

Money from the sky

Wednesday evening, 2 of us went to Menlyn and went into Exclusive books. One of us saw a very interesting book and sat down and started reading a bit, whilst the other one decided to make conversation with one of the employees. After a good chat with one the employees about God, faith and hope for the future and exchanging numbers, we left Menlyn. It was very late already about 22h15.

We got to place where we needed to pay our parking ticket but did not have any money in either of our wallets. One of us prayed that God would let money fall from the sky or something to help us pay this ticket. We only needed 8 Rand, but realised that the ATMs are all quite far in the mall, so we went to our car which was nearby and checked for loose coins lying around and found exactly 8 Rand. We double checked again making sure we had 8 Rand, so that we don’t need to come back again and headed off to the place where we pay for parking. We were almost alone at the mall, since it was so late and the only people we saw were some distance away. As we stood ready to insert our coins we heard a coin fall next to us. Both of us thought the other person dropped a coin. We counted the coins in our hands and realised that we had NOT dropped any coins, but that this coin that fell wasn't ours. Trying to make sense of the situation, we looked around to see if there was someone close by that would have dropped this coin, but this wasn't the case. The coin had literally fallen out of nowhere to land next to us. Although we had enough coins already, it was a huge faith booster to see that our prayer of asking God to send money to fall from the sky actually became a reality!

I really do believe God was smiling at our amazement that evening...
